Gregory's Method
His method focuses on achieving a minimalist lifestyle and/or living space through intentional reduction, emphasizing practical needs and conscious consumption over impulsive acquisition.
Gregory coaches his clients through the following process:
Preparation
I. Establishing the Mindset (1 week) - reflecting and journalling, being clear about your why?
II. Household Inventory (1 day) - a big-picture view of all your possessions.
III. Prepare a Staging Area (1 hour) - creating a space to sort and remove items.
Reduction
IV. One Room, One Space At A Time (ongoing) - to prevent getting overwhelmed.
V. Need, Use, Want, Delete (ongoing) - decisions, one item at a time.
VI. The Need for Ruthless Simplicity (ongoing) - let’s get brutal about it.
Organization
VII. Organize (ongoing) - maximizing storage space and making order of what remains.
VIII. Minimalist Decorating Tips (ongoing) - how to achieve your serene and simple style.
Remember that this is a personal process. Adapt the steps and timelines to fit your individual needs and circumstances. The key is to be intentional, consistent, and patient.
